Congratulations to Alison and Richard who tied the knot last September 2012 at Camden Town Hall.
This was one of the few warm sunny days we had last year which made a nice change. I started at Alison’s home in Islington before hopping on a traditional London bus with the wedding party to the Camden Town Hall. This was a simple and short ceremony with some lovely unscripted speeches and some guitar music from the guests.
Following this everyone headed outside for a quick glass of champagne before rejoining the bus for the reception at The Drapers Arms. I was last here back in May 2011 for Jenni and Chris’ wedding so I was really looking forward to going back. It has a wonderful intimate atmosphere and rustic charm and the food is out of this world. After drinks and canapes we did a few formal groups across the road in Barnsbury Square and also had time for a few informal portraits. The wedding breakfast was then served in the upstairs dining room and this was some feast ! Turbot and the most succulent lamb stew you’ll ever taste with fresh vegetables and home made bread. A welcome change to the usual wedding reception food.
And that was about it for me. Alison and Richard had a small wedding and consequently didn’t need too much covered. Nevertheless it was an immensely enjoyable day as you can see from the images below. Please feel free to add any comments below and also to visit my Facebook business page where you can see more. Finally, the complete set can be viewed by clicking here. Remember a password will be required which you can obtain from Alison or Richard. Enjoy !
