Here’s some favourite images from Marianne and Kei’s wedding at Syon Park which I photographed last October 2012. This is one of my favourite venues and I was last here for Helen and Anthony’s wedding back in May  I was therefore delighted when Marianne booked me at very short notice, a few days in fact, to photograph her and Kei’s wedding.

I started the day at St Luke’s Church in Chelsea for the ceremony. This was after a nightmare trying to find a parking spot and then being soaked in a sudden downpour. Anyhow as I arrived with plenty of time to spare it didn’t prove to be a problem. This is such a beautiful church with great light and fantastic views from high up. After a traditional ceremony we headed outside for some formal group shots in the adjacent park. It was fun trying to communicate with Kei and his family from Japan who didn’t speak too much English. But nevertheless they understood me in the end.

From here we made the short journey to Syon Park where the guests were greeted with drinks and canapes. As the sun started to set I managed to get some great portraits of them on the bridge by the lake with bright blue skies and autumn colours. Then we headed back into the conservatory which was beautifully laid out and organised by Jemma from The Perfect Wedding Company  Great food and some interesting speeches, some in Japanese as well, before the cake cutting. Then I had time again to take some more portraits, this time outside in the dark. The conservatory was by now lit up so it became a great backdrop. A traditional ceilidh band provided the evening’s entertainment to bring a truly memorable day to an end.
